“Delta for Autism Awareness Day” to Recognize Autism

DELTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The “Delta for Autism Awareness Day” Proclamation was inspired by the Xavier DeGroat Autism Foundation and will take place in the Delta Township Government Building on Monday, March 18, 2019.

Supervisor Ken Fletcher will present a proclamation to recognize April 2nd as International Autism Day and April as National Autism Awareness Month in Delta Township. By signing this proclamation, Delta Township will be the first Mid-Michigan local government to show its support for those with autism.

Event Schedule:

5:00 PM – Dinner will be provided by invitation only by Outback Steakhouse

6:00 PM – Introduction to the Proclamation will be Presented by Supervisor Ken Fletcher

6:05 PM – Xavier DeGroat will speak on why it is important to recognize autism awareness day and month.

6:10 PM – The proclamation will be getting signed and become public
