Delta is now banning "pit bull type dogs" from traveling with customers as service or emotional support animals.

The move comes in response to reports of flight attendants being bitten onboard by pit bulls.

Delta is citing "safety and security" of its employees and customers as their main motivations behind the decision.

Other policy changes include limiting one emotional support animal per customer.

The changes go into effect July 10th.
