The death of inmate Christopher Earl Martin has been ruled to be of natural causes.
The Ingham County Medical Examiner's Office ruled the death was due to coronary artery disease - he had a heart attack.
Back on June 15, Martin was found in a receiving cell at the Ingham County Jail unresponsive.
Deputies and medical staff started life saving procedures on him and transported him to Sparrow Hospital for more treatment.
He died at the hospital the next day.
41 year old Martin was from Lansing. Officers say he did not show any signs of distress before he was found.
