LANSING, Mich. — As day nine of the UAW strike against GM is winding down, the Detroit Free Press is reporting one of the sticking points is temporary workers.
The Free Press says autoworkers say temps, who are union members, often work alongside permanent employees, doing the same work for half the pay and fewer benefits.
The union wants a process in place to help those workers become permanent employees, but GM wants to stick with the way things are.
