LANSING, Mich. — Dates have been set for MSU's president to meet with sexual assault survivors.
President Samuel Stanley will meet with survivors three times over the next few months.
“Listening to survivors is a top priority of mine – I know I have a lot to learn,” Stanley said. “As my leadership team starts to work on a strategic plan for the university, safety and care for students are core pillars of that plan. All survivors of relationship violence and sexual misconduct have a voice that needs to be heard. For anyone who feels comfortable in meeting with me, or wants to share their thoughts, I hope this can be a helpful dialogue.”
There will be a night for anyone in the MSU community to come talk, which will be held on Monday, Sept. 30 at the MSU Union ballroom from 6 to 8p.m.
A night specifically for survivors who want to talk about the Nassar case, which will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the East Lansing Public Library from 6 to 8p.m.
And, an online meeting is set for anyone not comfortable attending in person, which will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 16 via Zoom from 6 to 8 p.m.
