A University of Michigan professor and his husband are facing rape charges in Texas.
Police records show opera professor David Daniels, Scott Walters were arrested in Ann Arbor yesterday.
The couple were investigated by Houston police after a performer claimed in a New York News article. Daniels and Walters drugged and sexually assaulted him following a performance nearly a decade ago.
Daniels took a leave of absence from the University over the claims.
Now Daniels and Walter are waiting extradition in Texas.
They each face up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
Daniels is also being sued by a former student who claims Daniels sexually assaulted him 2017.
Daniels has denied both allegations.
