Crews worked all day on Sunday removing fallen trees after this weekend's ice storm.
In some portions of mid-Michigan over six-tenths of ice accumulated on any surface it could.
The video with this story shows a sene on the 600 block of Kendon Drive in Lansing as crews removed a tree that had fallen on a house trapping people inside.
Trees had fallen on lines all day knocking out power to a large portion of mid-Michigan.
In some cases, especially involving power lines, it's best to call a professional.
Lou Hanft, the owner of Lou's Cutting Edge Tree Service told FOX 47, "Best advice I can give anyone, you know a lot of these problems could have been prevented, every tree that we've witnessed today that's on properties or on vehicles could have been maintained a little bit better and could have been avoided with the power lines being down in so many locations, although it may be off in your home it may not be off on the ground (so) stay away from power lines, stay away from the icy conditions and do the best you can."
You're asked to give police a call if you see a tree has fallen on a power line.
