Crews are continue to work to restore power to thousands of homes and businesses across Mid-Michigan.
DTE Energy says there are still 1,400 homes without power in Ingham County as of this morning, and more than 87,000 customers without power in the state.
Wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour knocked down power lines yesterday. The Board of Water and Light says they still have customers in the dark this morning, and will be working throughout the weekend to fix the problem.
Officials are warning residents to stay at least 20 feet away from any downed power lines. To report any outages or downed lines to DTE, call their hotline at 1-(800) -477-4747.
