Crews are cleaning up after a recent storm packing ice and snow knocked down hundreds of trees in Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
Park supervisor Jeff Gaertner says all roads were open and passable this week, but visitors should expect to see wood and debris on some roads. They're asked to use caution. Officials say most damage is at higher elevations, not those near Lake Superior.
More than 300 trees are down along one section of Government Peak Trail. Damage also is reported to foot bridges and boardwalk.
The storms hit last week. Higher elevations at the park received up to an inch of ice, which was then covered by a few inches of snow.
