Equifax is offering credit freezing until June 30th.
The company offered credit freezing last year after a data breach exposed the information of more than 145-million people.
The offer was originally going to expire Tuesday but is now expanded for five more months.
Experts recommend that consumers also freeze their credit at the other two credit bureaus: Experian and Transunion, which might carry a fee.
