LANSING, Mich. — Heads up if you're planning on traveling through East Lansing in the next couple of days.
Cowley Avenue will be closed at Michigan Avenue beginning on Thursday, Oct. 10, according to a press release.
The closure is in preparation for an upcoming utility installation at that intersection, according to the release.
The release states the closure is expected to last for about one week.
The release states upcoming utility installation at the intersection is part of an ongoing Infrastructure Restructure project along Michigan Avenue.
According to the city of East Lansing, the Infrastructure Restructure is expected to provide improvements to aging sewage infrastructure in the area by replacing the original sewer system, create a more efficient underground system by increasing capacity, provide an opportunity to separate storm water from the wastewater system located in the Michigan Avenue right of way and more.
