A court hearing is scheduled Wednesday afternoon for a man and woman charged in the shooting death of a Jackson man last month.

30-year-old Raheim Armstrong and 42-year-old Prettyattie Cooper are facing open murder and weapons charges in the death of Ronald Owens.

Owens was found with a single gunshot wound to the head in the 200 block of West South Street in Summit Township on October 27, 2017. The 32-year-old was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but later died of his injuries.

Police say Armstrong killed Owens while Cooper was Armstrong's driver the night of the shooting.

The pair face up to life in prison if convicted.

A probable cause hearing is scheduled for 3PM Wednesday afternoon in Judge Michael Klaeren's court room.
