Court hearing could make determination for Magnuson Hotel residents

Posted

The fate of nearly 100 homeless people living at the Magnuson Hotel could be determined at a court hearing this week.

The homeless Angels run a shelter out of the Lansing hotel, and the owner of the hotel gave residents a letter two weeks ago saying they have to leave so the hotel could be renovated.

They were supposed to be out Monday, but an injunction by Ingham County Circuit Court Judge James Jano prevented the power from shutting its doors.
