The Consumer Product Safety Commission is calling for safer batteries following major problems with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
The agency is asking for more safeguards to be put in place during the design and manufacturing stages to ensure the batteries are safe.
Earlier this week, Samsung blamed the design and how the battery was manufactured for causing some phones to overheat and burst into flames.
