The Lansing Board of Water & Light will close West Lenawee Street between Townsend Street and South Capitol Avenue starting Wednesday, May 15.
BWL crews will be working to replace aging steam and water facilities in the area.
Starting in July, South Capitol Avenue will close at Lenawee Street, according to a press release from the city of Lansing.
Traffic will be detoured west on West Kalamazoo Street and south on South Pine Street.
Drivers should be prepared to experience short delays during peak travel times.
Access to local businesses will be maintained.
Sidewalks along the north side of Lenawee Street will be closed.
Pedestrians can expect to be directed around the work zone.
