JACKSON, Mich. — Construction began on Monday at Greenwood Ave. and Jackson Street in Jackson to upgrade an area around Austin Blair Park.
Crews will be replacing water mains, resurface streets and put a traffic circle around the downtown park, as well as installing decorative lights.
They will be reconstructing Greenwood between Morrell and Wilkins with new curbs, also pavement replacement.
Jackson Street from Wilkins to Franklin will also be repaved.
The project officially started on Monday July, 15 and will last until mid-November.
There will be two phases of the project one starting on Morrell Street and the second phase will be around Greenwood Park.
