Construction starts Wednesday on a busy road in Jackson.
MDOT will be rebuilding Michigan Avenue between Brown Street and the Louis Glick Highway - Washington Avenue split.
Those two roads will also be converted from one-way to two-way traffic.
There will be intermittent lane closures for the next few days.
A detour will be in place on Michigan Avenue starting May 3rd. The $13.1 million dollar project is scheduled to be finished in December.
