LANSING, Mich. — A heads up to drivers in Eaton County--construction is coming your way.
The Eaton County Road Commission has announced the following road projects impacting traffic this week:
In Benton Township, shoulders will be placed on Pinch Highway between Oneida Road and Hartel Road. Traffic will be maintained with flag control, but travelers should expect delays. The Eaton County Road Commission is warning drivers to avoid the area if possible.
For Carmel and Kalamo Townships, shoulders will be placed on Five Point Highway between Young and Battle Creek. Driver should expect lane closures and delays.
In Delta Township, preparation work began Monday for curb and gutter replacement on Mall Drive West. Pulverizing is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. That section of the road will be closed during construction.
In Eaton Township, shoulders will be placed on Gidner Road between Packard and Kinsel. Flag control will be maintaining traffic, but drivers should expect delays. If possible, drivers should avoid the area.
Paving will begin on Mt. Hope between M-50 and Cochran. Traffic will be maintained with flag control and drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.
The Eaton County Road Commission said to use caution if you have to drive through these areas.
