Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin speaks out during town hall

LANSING, Mich. — Michigan Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin is speaking out on protecting the environment.

During a town hall meeting in Lansing on Thursday, Slotkin talked about how she's pushing for clean water and energy policies .

Slotkin says Michigan has the highest levels of P.F.A. in the country.

She tells us she's working on a bipartisan bill with lawmakers that would require the E.P.A. to test for P.F.A.s.

The plan would also include putting together a task force that would be required to set safety standards for the chemical.
