Voters are lacking confidence in Michigan Governor Rick Snyder and the direction of the state, according to a new poll released Tuesday.
The State of the State Public Opinion Poll from MRG found that only 39 percent of Michigan voters approve of the Job Governor Snyder is doing, while 45 percent disapprove.
When asked if they feel the state is on the right track, 42 percent said 'wrong track', and 37 percent said 'right track.'

Economic outlook: 38 Percent expect the economy to improve in the next year, 12 percent believe it will get worse.
Most important issue: 49 percent of voters said roads, followed by education (42 percent), and jobs and the economy (34 percent). School safety was mentioned in 17 percent of the voters.
The survey of 600 likely Michigan voters was conducted by live interview March 13-17, 2018. According to MRG, the sample yields a sampling margin of error of plus or minus four percent, with a 95 percent confidence interval.
