New jobs and a significant investment will be coming to Ingham County soon.
Loc Performance has received grant money from the board of the Michigan Strategic Fund to the tune of $7,000,000.
The grant will go towards the creation of 700 jobs and a capital investment of up to $96,500,000 in Ingham County.
Ingham County provided Loc with a site that provided easier access to their supply and customer base, along with infrastructure to have large facilities for heavy manufacturing.
Loc Performance is a full service provider of complex mechanical systems, fabricated structures and armor products for defense and commercial industries. They are currently headquartered in a manufacturing facility in Plymouth. According to their press release, they acquired the assets of Demmer Corporation in Lansing, in June of 2017.
Loc plans on creating 700 new positions over the next five years and intends to continue operations in the Demmer facility in Lansing until a site for a new facility is identified.
There will be major updates at the facility to accommodate the expansion.
