Some Detroit area companies came to the rescue of a woman who lost her Jeep to a couple of thieves.
The people stole the red Jeep and led police on a high-speed chase caught on video near I-96 and Telegraph. You may remember seeing the video as the Jeep smashed into a Coca Cola truck at an intersection.
The Jeep was destroyed in the collision. But the Henry Ford Foundation, the LaFontaine Car Dealership, and the local Chamber of Commerce pooled $10,000 together to get the victim a new vehicle.
The woman worked two jobs while being a full-time nursing student to buy the SUV. She took home a brand new Dodge Caliber Thursday.
