LANSING, Mich. — One of the women shot on Lansing's southwest side has died.
She has been identified as 19-year-old Hanna Barron of Lansing.
This is now the Lansing Police Department's first murder investigation of 2019.
FOX 47's Cryss Walker has reaction from neighbors who saw the crime unfold.
Bullets riddled outside Woodside Meadows, killing a woman and wounding another.
“I heard shots ring off in the back. I heard screaming and yelling and a lot of commotion”, said Ledon Curtis who lives nearby.
The shooting happened Thursday afternoon on the 3900 block of Burneway Drive.
Barron was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
The second woman is listed in stable condition.
“I seen the victim getting CPR and I seen another one in the chair. I seen one in pain and the other one was crying”, explained neighbor Nyquita Bloomingnerg.
Officers from the Lansing Police along with investigators from the Michigan State Police are still looking for the suspect.
The suspect is described as a black male in his late teens, or early twenties.
He is average height, thin build and wearing dark clothing.
