A transformer fire and power outage has resulted in classes being cancelled at a western Michigan community college.
The Muskegon Chronicle reports that the fire at Muskegon Community College's main campus was reported early Tuesday afternoon.
Classes were cancelled Tuesday at all of the school's locations. Muskegon Community College says classes are expected to resume Wednesday.
A utility crew was sent to the school to disconnect the transformer from the college's main power grid until repairs can be made or the transformer replaced.
Power to the main campus was to be restored after repairs are made.
