Lawmakers in Lansing are meeting on Tuesday afternoon to announce bipartisan legislation that empowers Michigan residents to produce their own clean energy.

The Energy Freedom Package will be introduced which removes regulatory barriers and expand access to clean energy for Michiganders like rooftop solar panels.

This would give Michigan families and businesses options when it comes to reducing energy costs.

The State Representatives proposing the bill are:
State Rep. Gary Glenn (R-Williams Township)
State Rep. Tom Barrett (R-Charlotte)
State Rep. Steve Johnson (R-Wayland)
State Rep. Yousef Rabhi (D-Ann Arbor)
State Rep. Scott Dianda (D-Calumet)
