The Lansing city council will start working on the mayor's budget proposal Monday.
The committee of the whole will discuss it at their Monday night meeting.
They'll hear from individual departments and from the public on Wednesday.
That hearing will be held at the south side community center on wise road.
The council has until May 16 to pass the budget.
