Supporters and critics of Mayor Virg Bernero's new home-based medical marijuana ordinance will get a chance to voice their opinions to city council.
The city council's committee on public safety is expected to review the ordinance at 3:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
Bernero's proposal requires pot growers to register with the city if they use more than 5,000 kilowatt hours of electricity.
The new rules aim to keep residents safe by reducing fire hazards.
If the committee finishes its review at the meeting, the ordinance could get approved by the end of this year.
