Last week Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero announced a new medical marijuana ordinance aimed at keeping neighborhoods and families safe.
Monday night, the Lansing City Council will discuss the new ordinance.
The proposal aims at preventing fire hazards caused by overload electrical circuits and cutting down on the smell of marijuana plants.
The City Council is expected to start the review and approval process Monday night.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m.
