The Lansing City Council announced a resolution Monday night, saying they have "no confidence" in the Lansing Housing Commission Board of Commissioners.
During the Lansing City Council Committee of the Whole meeting members went into closed session for 45 minutes and returned with the "no confidence" announcement the council says the Lansing Housing Commission board members lack transparency, communication, and co-operation.
The Council will made a motion tonight to revisit the "no confidence" resolution during their next Committee of the Whole meeting on July 9th.
Questions surrounding the Lansing Housing Commission began to circulate when the city found the commission failed a city inspection in 2016.
The finding came to light earlier this month after a fire broke out at a complex in the Laroy Froh Townhomes, killing a mother and her son.
