Monday dozens of volunteers will turn in signatures to end partisan gerrymandering in Michigan.
The group, Voters Not Politicians, are a non-partisan group and are volunteer based.
They plan to turn in about 180 boxes of petitions to the Michigan Bureau of Elections Monday afternoon. The petitions that they collected have surpassed the required amount of 315,654 signatures needed to get on the ballot.The group wants to end gerrymandering in Michigan by passing a state constitutional amendment that takes politicians and lobbyists out of the redistricting process and puts it in the hands of the citizens.
