Chinese New Year Celebration

The official start to Chinese New Year isn't until tomorrow, but Meridian Township is celebrating New Year's Eve today.

The Greater Lansing Chinese Association is hosting its fourth annual festival at bringing the community together and celebrating the Year of the Monkey.

The festival includes a fashion show, music, carnival games, and even a parade.

The day starts at 1pm at Meridian Mall in Okemos with a parade.

There will be performances like Chinese Folk Music from 1:30 until 3:30.

There's also a culture exhibition until 5:30.

Everyone is welcome to attend.
