It’s here. The date Chick-fil-A will open its first locations in Michigan.
On Oct. 13, both locations in Michigan will open their doors to the public and with it creating 150 new jobs.
The Lansing location, which is at 5617 W. Saginaw Highway is expected to open around 6 a.m. The Troy location, which is located in the Somerset Mall, is anticipated to open around 10 a.m.
Both locations will continue with the Chick-fil-A grand opening tradition of awarding free Chick-fil-A for a year. According to a release, the family friendly overnight First 100 party will pop up at each location before the grand opening as guests try to be one of the first 100 adults through the doors to win.
The restaurants will also employ 150 full-time and part-time employees in all areas of the business who will be hired locally. The release state that they will also offer college scholarships through the chain’s national program.
The local franchise owners are Kate McNerney and Blake Dennard. McNerney graduated from the University of Michigan and earned her master’s degree at Central Michigan University.
“Part of my role as the Operator of Chick-fil-A at Lansing is to hire, develop and retain top talent,” McNerney said. “I look forward to creating a fun, rewarding workplace where my team members can grow and learn from each other.”
Dennard graduated from the University of Kentucky.
“I want to make sure my team members have a rewarding experience working at my restaurant,” Dennard said. “I’d like to see them seize opportunities to grow with Chick-fil-A and to realize that they too can one day be an entrepreneur and own their own Chick-fil-A restaurant. ”
