Sheriff's officials in Clinton County are warning of a scam involving Charter.
According to a police report, someone received an email appearing to come from Charter Communications, that promised a free gift waiting for them after they completed a survey and put in their financial information.
The Clinton County Sheriff's Office says you should never give out your personal information in a situation like this.
The Sheriff's office did contact Charter and they say they never send out surveys like that.
