The city of Charlotte says goodbye to a long-standing eyesore Wednesday.
Crews finally tearing down the so-called "piece" building, after about a week-long delay related to asbestos.
The building has been standing since the 1800s.
In its place, the city will build a new park next summer.
It's all part of the Charlotte Rising campaign, which aims at creating a more vibrant community.
