Each of the 2,100 veterans buried at a Jackson cemetery will have a remembrance wreath placed on their grave next weekend.

St. John Catholic Cemetery was able to raise the $31,500 it needed -- an effort we first told you about last month.

The cemetery is one of 1,200 locations taking part in the "Wreaths Across America" campaign. The movement started at Arlington National Cemetery to honor and remember our veterans.

The wreath-laying ceremony will take place at 12pm on December 16.
It will include remarks from local veterans. All 2,100 wreaths will then be laid on the veterans' graves, while saying their names out loud.

St. John Catholic Cemetery is located at 403 South Street in Jackson.
