GRASS LAKE, Mich. — On Sunday many got the chance to take a ride back in time at the Waterloo Farm Museum in Grass Lake.

It all happened during the 13th Annual Antique Tractor-Truck and Farm Equipment show.

"We have quite a variety of tractors here different brands," said Mike Douglas from the Treasurer at the Waterloo Farm Museum.

Most of the tractors at the event were from local community farmers and tractor collectors.

"These gentlemen have grown up with these tractors and they still have the same tractors they grew up on, there (are) fond memories so we don't part with those things like that," said Ron Kaiser from the Waterloo Area Historic Society.

The antique show also showcased their museum.

"Just to experience something they have never experienced before. Seeing how people used to live," said Brian Dewey, President Waterloo Farm Museum.

You can take a tour throughout the houses on the farm to see how things used to be.

"We walk through every single room and what sometimes seems to be the purpose of one room doesn't necessarily become clear right away and were trying to make sense of each room," said Lisa Groh, volunteer.

One of the younger volunteers says they enjoy the history.

"The experience of stepping back in time and seeing how you would have lived," said Emma Goblirsch.

Fox 47 talked to one family and they say anyone can enjoy the museum.

"There is the blacksmith and the historic home and it's just a piece of history that anyone can enjoy and especially with this event being free, why not give it a shot," Matt Nolan.

If you missed the Antique Tractor-Truck and Farm Equipment show they have several events throughout the year.
