LANSING, Mich. — The Catholic League is calling for Governor Gretchen Whitmer to investigate sexual abuse in the state's public schools.
In a letter sent to the Governor Wednesday, the League says it's asking state lawmakers to approve the money needed to launch the investigation.
This comes as Roman Catholic Diocese across Michigan turn over documents in a state investigation of sexual abuse by priests.
Governor Whitmer has asked the state legislature to approve $2 million for that probe.
