JACKSON, Mich. — Catholic Charities of Jackson, Lenawee & Hillsdale Counties has announced it has reached half of their goal for a renovation of the Jackson County Child Advocacy Center (JCCAC) located on Wildwood Avenue in Jackson. The Bill & Vi Sigmund Foundation awarded Catholic Charities $75,000.00 for the project.

The JCCAC serves children who are victims of sexual and physical abuse by uniting a multi-disciplinary team to investigate and seek justice and healing for victims. The plan includes two additions, with an interior renovation, adding a new medical exam room, and additional counseling and therapy space.

“Catholic Charities works every day to ensure that children experiencing trauma in their lives have the greatest opportunity for hope and healing. We are blessed to have our community support our critical work. The Jackson County Child Advocacy Center has seen an unprecedented demand, and the support of our community insures we can provide the best care possible.” Said Sue Lewis, Executive Director of Catholic Charities of Jackson, Lenawee & Hillsdale Counties.
