CATA to upgrade some of its buses

LANSING, Mich. — Some of CATA's buses are about to have a new look.

The transportation authority unveiled two new styles of buses that will soon hit the streets.

The new Nova buses will replace the current aging fleet.

In total -- 23 new buses will roll out in the CATA system over the next few weeks.

"It's not only customer focused, but it will help us with the environment. it'll help us with delivering better service and safety so we're thrilled about having these buses on the street," Bradely Funkhouser, CEO of CATA, said.

Nova Bus claims to be a leading provider of sustainable transit in North America.

The company aims to reduce fuel consumption and emissions with cleaner diesel vehicles.
