An accident closed down an intersection in Lansing on Wednesday for most of the afternoon.
It happened just before 1:00 p.m. at Jolly and Cedar in Lansing involving a car and a moped.
The moped was headed southbound on Cedar and the car was going westbound on Jolly. A man was driving the moped with a female passenger.
The people in the car were a man and a child.
Police say that early investigating shows that the moped ran a red light.
The two on the moped were sent to the hospital. The man is in critical condition but the woman was alert and talking at the scene.
