One person was taken to the hospital after an accident in Eaton County Tuesday morning.
The sheriff's office says a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt was headed east on Island Highway near Royston Road when it crashed into the back of a 3-wheel scooter shortly before 6 a.m.
The driver of the scooter was thrown from the vehicle and was not wearing a helmet. That person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver and only occupant of the Chevrolet Cobalt was not injured.
Both drivers are from the Charlotte area. The accident remains under investigation by the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office.
