A car hits a tree on westbound Interstate 96 near the construction site on the freeway.
The accident happened around 4:30 a.m. between exits 104 and 106 on I-96 west, where the split merge begins.
Ingham County Deputies are still on the scene, but tell us alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
No word on the injuries for those inside the car.
