JACKSON, Mich. — A fire that began in a parked car and eventually moved inside of a home is under investigation.
Around 5:20 Tuesday morning Jackson County Fire Department responded to a call that a neighbor heard explosions coming from Williams Street in Jackson.
When the fire department arrived at the scene a car and the house it was parked behind were on fire.
The first floor and second floor of the home were damaged, but repairable.
The home is vacant but under renovation.
It took the fire department about an hour to put out the fire.
They believe the explosions that were heard were from a handful of oxygen cylinders that exploded from inside the car.
