Jackson Police say they are looking for a man seen on camera breaking into a car.
FOX 47's Cryss Walker spoke to the victim who says the crook got away with hundreds-of-dollars.
“My car got broke into and my purse was stolen”, Brenda Herrington told News 10.
“My wallet, my I.D., credit cards, checkbook.”
Herrington says Monday morning her car was parked in a lot on the 500 block of Lansing Avenue in Jackson, when surveillance video recorded the suspect in the act.
“He had a red cap on…blue or black shorts and a black jacket, like black boots”, Herrington said as she described what she saw on tape.
The victim says the thief took off with her purse, holding over $400 cash inside.
“That was stupid”, Herrington explained.
“Normally I wouldn't even bring my purse to work and that day I had running to do after work so I brought it with me”, Herrington continued.
“I know I should of put it in the trunk or brought it in but I didn't think anything of it.”
In the video, the suspect is seen driving away in what appears to be a blue Chevy Avalanche.
