LANSING, Mich. — Capitol Day took place in Lansing on Tuesday, April 9.
It was a day open for constituents to meet representatives with questions about the environment, drivers licenses, family care, or whatever concerns them.
This is an annual event that takes place at the Lansing Center with residents from across Michigan participating.
Michigan United is the organization that hosts Capitol Day, and before the event ended they prepared a non-violent demonstration.
These demonstrations in the past showed silly stunts illustrating a serious problem.
Today's demo was about lame duck - shame duck.
They also talked about pollution near homes by the Marathon factories, more living options for Seniors, immigrants and Veterans' causes and more.
