LANSING, Mich. — If you find yourself at Capital Region International Airport with some extra time before your flight, you might want to check out their new restaurant.

Capital Brewport, a full-service restaurant with a menu of shareable dishes featuring a rotating craft beer menu consisting of Lansing-made beer, officially opened up to the public Monday around 9:45 a.m.

“We are dedicated to a first-class flying experience,” Capital Region International Airport CEO Wayne Sieloff said. “At the Capital Brewport, our passengers will have the opportunity to relax in a modern, fresh atmosphere while enjoying a bite and a brew. This is the first major project of several to come, and we’re thrilled to officially launch a new era of flying in Lansing.”

The Capital Brewport is inspired by Lansing Brewing Company and will feature Lansing Brewing Company beers as well as beers from other local breweries.

The restaurant is 2,300 square feet and seats 90.

The opening of Capital Brewport marks the beginning of a years-long airport improvement project which will include improved business and community amenities like business pods and nursing rooms, the renovation of gates and a new coffee shop.

The Capital Brewport is located past the TSA gate next to Gate 7 and is open to passengers from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week.

The airport is located at 4100 Capital City Boulevard in Lansing.
