Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center is seeking artists for the Michigan Made: 2018 Holiday Exhibition which will feature artworks that range from fine art to small gifts including jewelry, paintings, pottery, metal work, leather goods, paper products, glass works, woodworking, and more. We are seeking contemporary fine art, inspired modern craft and items designed by Michigan makers!

This exhibition will be co-curated by our Exhibitions & Gallery Sales Director and artist Debbie Carlos [debbiecarlos.com]! Debbie is a photographer, and ceramicist based in Lansing, Michigan. After growing up in California and the Philippines, she moved back to the US for college, obtaining a degree in psychology from Clark University before graduating with a concentration in photography from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally.
Carlos also has her hand in various curatorial projects, most notably choosing the rotating art shows locally at Strange Matter Coffee and organizing pop-up events that foreground local artists, designers and makers.
