A main roadway in the city of Lansing is now named for late Lansing firefighter Dennis Rodeman. Tuesday, Governor Snyder signed a bill designating the portion of Business Route I-96 within the city limits of Lansing as the "Lansing Firefighter Dennis E. Rodeman Memorial Highway."
Business Route I-96 follows Cedar Street on Lansing's south side up to North Street and Grand River Avenue before reconnecting with the highway in Clinton County.
Rodeman was killed September 9, 2015, after being struck by a hit-and-run driver while collecting donations for charity.
Rodeman served 7 years a Lansing Firefigther.
