EAST LANSING, Mich. — FOX 47 News learned new information on the student who was killed after the moped she was riding collided with a salt truck.
We learned more details on who that student is, and what she meant to those that love her.
The first words that come out of anybody's mouth we've spoken with said that the student killed had a contagious smile and one of the sweetest souls.
"She was so full of happiness, she just wanted to share that happiness with everybody. She cared about everyone, brought light everywhere she went," said Natalya Iversen, a friend of the MSU student killed.
The 21-year-old MSU student was killed when her moped collided with a salt truck Tuesday morning. Friends confirm it was Tiana Seville.
"One of my friends had called me and asked if I had heard any news, and I said I wasn't sure what she was talking about," said Iversen.
Michigan State University police are not saying who was at fault or how it happened.
They've only said it's an open and ongoing investigation.
"Kind of numbing right now. I haven't really come to grasp with it or I refuse to believe it's happening," said Iversen.
Friends of Seville took to Facebook to share their memories of her.
Natalya Iversen lived around the block from her in Grand Ledge. She shared with News 10 a favorite memory they had together at high school choir camp when they tried something different at the talent show.
"She was a gymnast, I was a pom girl. We put together a routine where it was gymnast meets pom girl. We choreographed it ourselves and it was just cool. I taught her some pom she taught me some gymnastics. It's funny but it was a lot of fun to do," said Iversen.
And if Natalya could tell her one last thing it would be that, "how much I appreciate everything that she did do for me in high school. She had a lot of friends but she was one of my only. She was just always there for me in ways I don't think she knew. I wish I could thank her for that again," said Iversen.
The intersection of Shaw and Chesnut Rd where the accident happened is right by the football stadium. It's well-traveled by both vehicles and mopeds.
Seville graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 2015. She also attended Grand Valley State University before coming to MSU, she was studying kinesiology.
