The Ingham County Road Department is closing a bridge because it's not safe and there's no money to fix it.
The Dietz Road Bridge crosses the Red Cedar River between Rowley Road and Grand River Avenue, east of Williamston.
Pedestrian and bike traffic will be allowed to use it, but the bridge will be closed to vehicles.
The county has asked the state for repair money from the "local bridge program, but it hasn't made the cut."
